Just got done watching my fav, Moulin Rouge. For reals, during the Come What May Reprise, at the end of the song when Ewan sings his last Coooommmeee Whaat Maaaayayay and his voice fluctuates like that… my vagina, it can’t handle that shit.

Hey tumblrs who live in Portland, my mom and I are thinking of taking a vacation there the 2nd week of April during my Spring Break. What’s the weather like there? Please reblog or shoot me an email if you have a moment. It would be super appreciated to have an inhabitants opinion, not weather.com’s. Thanks!

yay, movie night
Movie Night Season Finale was amaz. I am so proud of everyone, you all did such a great job! My friends are all so talented. My fav parts of the night were The Jeffs’ calendar and of course, Spencer & Dan because anything Spencer & Dan makes me want to pee my pants and clap my hands in happiness.

You’re the nicest most pretty girl I know with a serious skin disease.
A young student on my personality, appearance and psoriasis.

Paper Planes.

I heard this song for the first time two days ago on the school bus while the kid sitting next to me, who is in 2nd grade, was telling the kid next to him, who is in 1st grade, that he needs to pretend to shoot guns in the air during the song like she does in the music video. It was pretty disturbing watching young children act fake violence as a direct result of the media. I went to YouTube today to watch the video and saw a comment which I wish I could post on here but I didn’t copy it in time and it got deleted. It was more or less along the lines of:

THIS SONG IS FUCKING AWESOME~~~~~~~~~!!!!!! WE HAD OUR FIRST SCHOOL DANCE THIS WEEKEND AND WHEN THIS SONG CAME ON EVERYONE PRETENDED TO SHOOT GUNS!!!!!!! IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!$$

I am pretty into studying the psychological effects the media has on children. A lot of people say us media literacy freaks look too deep into things. I’m not saying this song is going to make kids go out and buy guns and shoot them in the air. I’m just saying that it’s fucking weird to watch a couple babes mimic violence they saw on television in real life. All throughout my days at U of M I read countless articles about the effects of violence in the media on children. Now working with them in a school I can see the direct effects first hand and it’s intense. Considerable violence occurs in programing we don’t really associate with aggression like music videos and the news. The worst of them all is video games. Don’t even get me started on video games.

All this children pretending to shoot guns aside, this song is pretty awesome.

P.S. I hardly ever use YouTube and OMG, the comments on that thing!? Incredible. So much hostility and anger!

It's 11:00 pm and what do you think I am doing: A, B or C?

A) Hanging out with friends

B) Drawing Pokemon pictures for Special Ed kids

C) B but with it were A

I would think of something funny to tumble but I’m too busy these days spending all my free time drawing Pokemon pictures for eleven-year-old boys. Nicole and Kacy circa 2000 would be proud.

Too many conflicting emotional interests are involved for life ever to be wholly acceptable, and possibly it is the work of the storyteller to rearrange things so that they conform to this end. In any case, in talking about the past we lie with every breath we draw.
